All the Castlevania games. Symphony of the Night and Aria of Sorrow are the best ones, and they're both very light on dialogue.

Any mascot platformer is also usually light on dialogue but pretty fun. Sonic, Mario, etc. are good to play.

Fighting games are a fun watch and you can actually play with your friend. Tekken, Soul Calibur, Mortal Kombat, etc. are a fun time.

I was locked out of my account for a month and been in "customer support hell" with them. It was a nightmare, I would tell them it's not allowing me to log in because it claims ALL my devices are suspicious and blocks access, and they would reply with a bot-generated E-mail saying I should try going into my account and changing settings. I would reply saying "You moron, I can't access the settings, I can't log in" and they would reply with the same message again.

I don't understand how such a large company can have such abysmal customer support. I've had my account for maybe over 15 years now and they couldn't care less. In the end I fixed it by having a friend log in for me, but it was a wake-up call of how dependent I was on my email and how many services I used to login via Google. I would advise people not to be too attached to their account.

This is really exciting. I've liked everything about No Man's Sky except the gameplay which I thought was boring. If they can replace that with exciting fantasy combat, I'm in.

Also this trailer felt weirdly very similar to the NMS one. The zoom out from water, panning over the landscape, and riding ~~ships~~ dragons over everything had all the same beats.

Considering how much is free and how much of a better experience it is compared to competitors, yeah, it really is not so bad. The MTX boil down to a few cosmetics and ability to use more bandwidth (ability to upload bigger files, stream in 4K)

The Dead Space remake had some of the best sound design in any game. I was convinced it would win, but it makes sense to give it to Hi-Fi Rush.

Looks surprisingly good despite being a Nexon published game.

Actually 3 years of rumors later, I can't believe it's real.

I played Trials of Mana (2020) and that game was... Pretty bad. I'm skeptical, but this does look pretty good.

Looks awesome. I didn't expect their next game to be serious, but I'm excited nonetheless.

So it really is just another Far Cry. I've barely seen any gameplay and that was my immediate reaction.

Problem is...

A) It's Microsoft we're talking about. They will 100% make everything paid and behind a subscription, or bait people in by saying it's free and change their minds 1-2 years later

B) Nobody has the hardware to run good AI models locally (yet), so these features will all be locked behind being connected to your MS account at all times, with a probably terrible privacy policy behind it

C) Does this really have to be baked into the OS? This could've just been an application or an extension. Windows Copilot already exists and 99% of people are clearly not interested.

D) Guaranteed they will just keep pushing AI rather than do any decent improvements to the system. Watch their incredible new OS be Windows 10 with a new coat of paint and ads just like 11. Best they'll do is hide the settings behind another menu, again.

It makes 0 sense to me that they kept advertising Gemini Ultra as being their best model and insanely impressive. Every benchmark, every video they released was talking about ultra specifically.

What google actually released was Gemini Pro. It's a lot worse than GPT-4, and they admit as much in the papers. This is apparently what they wanted people's first impressions to be. So stupid.
